Vintage Turquoise Vase Dark

This striking ceramic vase was produced by Kerámia Iparművészeti Vállalat, the Budapest-based collective known for its experimental studio ceramics during the 1970s and 1980s.  Its elegant bottle-shaped silhouette provides the perfect canvas for the richly reactive glaze, where deep greens, blues and inky black tones shift across the surface with a crystalline, almost mineral-like effect.

The vase showcases the distinctive character that made Hungarian art pottery of this period so sought after. No two reactive glazes develop in exactly the same way, giving each piece its own unique finish.
