Bertie Antique Armchair

The Bertie Armchair is part of our antique seating collection, carefully sourced and reupholstered to create a distinctive one of a kind piece.  Upholstered in a considered combination of Pierre Frey and Nobilis fabrics, Bertie pairs deep sky blue velvet with soft blue-grey tones.  The chair is photographed with a coordinating cushion, available separately.

Dating from the late 19th century, the chair retains the elegance and craftsmanship associated with antique English upholstery of the period.  Its gently curved silhouette, deep buttoning and traditional construction showcase the enduring appeal of well-made antique seating.

The seat, inner back, arm tops, and buttons are upholstered in Pierre Frey Fine velvet in Deep Sky, while the outer back and sides are finished in Nobilis Manoir No.2 in Bleu Gris.  Carefully restored and newly upholstered, Bertie preserves the character of the original frame while introducing a fresh and distinctive textile scheme.
